Hey there readers, so its Wednesday so you already know what that means.
NEW POST!
SKIN CARE
So todays post is all about skin care, do YOU take care of your skin? If so, how?
Enlighten me, on how you take care of your skin?
I bet you don't, see the thing is the only reason I say this is because once upon a time I was just like you, I couldn't care less about my skin to be quite frank taking care of my base was the least of my concerns, in fact I went through a faze where I even slept with my makeup on a day to day basis simply because I was not bothered to take it off and didn't really know the principle and importance that lies within taking care of your skin.
The fundamental of achieving a flawless face is not excessively and constantly applying makeup layer after layer its the opposite, matter fact its ensuring your base is taken well care of. Now to master this is not difficult at all, truth be told its as easy as applying your makeup if not easier, But the important thing to always remember is being CONSISTENT!
CHOOSE A SKIN ROUTINE THAT FITS YOUR SKIN TYPE AND STICK TO IT, EVERY SINGE DAY TWICE A DAY WITHOUT FAIL!!!!
The thing many of us tend to lack is acknoledging the severity of what NOT taking care of your skin can lead too, for starters several blemishes (ones of which you could easily prevent), it can also lead to anti ageing not only so but wrinkles, alongside to rough skin. Did you know slacking at taking care of your skin can also lead to acne DESPITE your age. Question is why put your skin through harshness if deep down you know you can easily prevent it all altogether.
Below are a few shot of what I previously was using on my skin and what I currently am using. I am a firm believers of the terminology 'you get what you pay for' but at the same time there are times where you can discover a product so reasonable priced yet manage to find it amazing. However I feel that may not always apply to skin care. Your skin being as fragile as its is, don't bombard it with tons of different products. Sticking to one brand you will establish the best results a lot quicker as the products work together by force to give you the most healthy and appropriate outcome.
So I have recently started using Clarins (as a brand) I haven't tried it in the past and honestly I have no intentions of reviewing it just yet as its been less then a week since purchasing and I wouldn't want to advise any of you to either avoid it or go purchase it without obtaining my full opinion on the products all together.
BUT what I will say is, I don't suffer from acne, hyper pigmentation or anything of that sort however I do find myself suffering from very small minimal bombs around my nose area honestly its not even that visible but due to how critical I am I feel its just sitting there unnecessarily.
I was informed by the women who works at Clarins the exfoliator should help with that issue, so hopefully after a month I can come back and review it fully. So far my skin doesn't appear to be looking any better or worse so I intent on taking it one step at a time and gradually in Sha allah should see results then. As for the cleanser it really has been leaving my skin feeling very refreshing and the toner always leaves me with such a glorious smell.
Product breakdown
CLEANSER: £17.95
TONER: £27
EXFOLIATOR: £19.50
Also this has been my holy grail, I've been using this amazing product to take all my makeup off and it does the job perfectly. I have been using the Garnier skin natural micellar cleansing water for sensitive skin for about a year now and I LOVE it. I believe it retails for £5/6 from super drug (possibly the only drug store skin care product I currently am using and really recommend)

So, referring back to my previous statement regarding 'you get what you pay for' I have been using all drug store products for quite some time I would say a good 3-5 months and what really frustrates me is not only did I fail to see results after such a long period of time, it disappoints me how much I was neglecting my skin. As I said previously your skin is very fragile so be very cautious what you use. I have oily/combination skin and my skin is not sensitive therefor although I am careful I'm not walking on egg shells when it comes to trying new products however I do steer well clear of any products that contain fragrance and too much chemicals.
All in all I would never go back to drug store products when it comes to my skin care routine as I seemingly never discovered my skin improving n anyway shape or form. But I guess to each their own.
Moral of the story is TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN, I can never stress how important it is.

Thank you all for reading, hope I have helped any of you in the slightest. See you on Sunday. My next post is about what inspires me, we all need a little push in the right direction and a little motivation from time to time so I will fulfil that request :)

omg, honestly I agree with you about the drugstore products for skin!!
ReplyDeleteWhile using Tretinoin you just need to take care of few things and that is washing your face and removing the entire make up and dirt.
